> Injury information

This sports injury information service is for health professionals, athletes, and the general public. It includes information about musculoskeletal injuries, their investigation, and the management of these common injuries that occur with work, sport, or accidents. There is also information on medical conditions that impact upon sport and exercise. The information is applicable to all sports in all countries.

They were compiled personally by Dr Paoloni, after extensive searches of the medical literature, and provide information at a level approximating the Australasian College of Sports Physicians (ACSP) final specialist examination requirements. The information provided in these files is not endorsed by the Australasian College of Sports Physicians. The notes have been modified with explanations of medical jargon for the general public. They are a useful and accurate information source for health professionals and the general public.

Whilst the information in these sections is both current and comprehensive, no responsibility will be taken for the application of this knowledge on an individual basis. It should also be remembered that self-diagnosis is notoriously unreliable, and that all medical conditions and sports injuries are best managed by an appropriately qualified medical professional.

This information will best be used for obtaining information about specific conditions or injuries once an accurate diagnosis has been made. They may also be used as a study guide for athletes and health professionals with an interest in Sports Physician practice and optimisation of sports performance.

All information in these files is the intellectual property of Dr Justin Paoloni.

Files are available from our online store.
